JW Home Care responded to a water damage project in Camarillo after a slab leak allowed water to spread beneath the home's foundation and into surrounding building materials.
Because the leak remained hidden under the concrete slab, moisture traveled unnoticed for an extended period before visible signs appeared inside the home. As the water migrated through the structure, it affected flooring, walls, and other building materials, creating widespread hidden moisture concerns that required immediate mitigation.
Inspecting the Extent of the Slab Leak Damage
Once we arrived, our team performed a moisture inspection to determine the full extent of the water intrusion. Slab leaks often allow moisture to spread beneath flooring systems and into wall assemblies, making it important to inspect well beyond the visible damage.

Removing Damaged Materials and Beginning Structural Drying
After identifying the affected areas, our team removed the necessary damaged materials to access trapped moisture and begin the structural drying process. Professional air movers and dehumidification equipment were installed throughout the home to promote proper drying of the affected building materials.
