Slab Leak Detection

What Happens If We Find Moisture or an Active Leak?

If our inspection shows signs of hidden moisture, water damage, or a possible active leak, we will explain what we found and walk you through the next step.

In many cases, JW Home Care can help with the water damage portion of the job, including moisture documentation, water damage cleanup, drying, removal of damaged materials when needed, and professional mitigation services.

If the exact leak location requires specialty equipment, we can help coordinate a trusted third-party specialist. Third-party line locating, plumbing repairs, destructive testing, and specialty equipment services are not included in the free inspection and would be an additional customer-approved charge.

Types of Leaks We Can Help Inspect

Common leak concerns we can help inspect include:

  • Bathroom leaks — Moisture from toilets, tubs, showers, sink plumbing, wax rings, shower valves, or drain lines.
  • Kitchen leaks — Leaks from sink plumbing, garbage disposals, dishwashers, refrigerator water lines, or cabinet areas.

  • Ceiling leaks — Water stains, bubbling paint, sagging drywall, or moisture coming from an upstairs bathroom, attic plumbing, HVAC system, or roof issue.
  • Slab leak concerns — Signs of possible water under the slab, including damp flooring, warm spots, moisture near baseboards, or unexplained water usage.
  • Roof or exterior leak concerns — Interior water damage caused by possible roof leaks, window leaks, exterior wall issues, flashing problems, or storm-related water intrusion.
  • Unknown source leaks — Situations where water damage is visible, but the source of the moisture is not clear.
